Local entrepreneurs built this Roller Mill in 1903 to mechanize grain grinding. Discover the industrialization that forever changed agriculture and Rowan County.
1857 Courthouse

Fri-Sun: 1-4pm
This 1850s county courthouse survived Stoneman’s Raid and served Rowan until the early 20th century. Today it houses museum offices, rotating exhibits, and the Messinger Room.
The Old Stone House

Michael Braun, an 18th century German immigrant, used his newfound prosperity to create a large piedmont plantation by 1766. Explore colonial life in this fully restored German Colonial/Georgian home.
