Rowan Museum is a non-profit organization founded to preserve the history of Rowan County from its earliest inhabitants to the present. Rowan Museum educates visitors on the lived experience of the people of Rowan County and the surrounding Piedmont through exhibitions, educational programs, research, and historical reenactments, using artifacts from its collection, as well as historic sites that span from the colonial period through the industrial era.
