History Club Meeting

Please join us April 9th for our monthly history club with Mr. Jason Melius!

Jason Melius is a native of New York but has spent much of his life in North Carolina. He is the lead Historic Interpreter at Fort Dobbs State Historic Site in Statesville, and Shallow Ford State Historic Site. He previously served as the Archivist for Historic Bethabara Park in Winston-Salem. He has been involved in public history for thirty years. Jason has guest lectured for universities, historic sites, and the National Park Service, published articles focusing on 18th century material culture, colonial history, and Southeastern Native American topics such as tattooing practices. Jason received his Master of Library and Information Studies through UNC Greensboro.

Come out to the Rowan Museum, Tuesday April 9th at 7pm to hear Jason Melius! Light refreshments will be provided!

The History Club meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month August – May in the Messinger Room at 202 N. Main St.
